Wesleyan Market

Sweet Sue Ceramics will be at Wesleyan Market  on Saturday September 10, 2016 from 9-1. Come start your Christmas shopping early!

Provincial Casserole Dish

This Fluted Casserole Dish is one of my favorite pieces. It was designed after one that a friend brought from Provence, so I call it the Provincial Casserole Dish. It is the size of a 9" x 12" pan and will cook up some yummy casseroles.

Nativity Set

This nativity has been fun to make and very popular. I added an angel and a camel to the set this year for a touch of whimsy.

Where the curved road ends...

There is an antique log cabin located in a pine thicket down a long sandy curved road in Ailey, south Georgia. My grandfather believed that everyone should have three places_ a place to live, a place to work, and a happy place. The cabin was the happy place where he and my grandmother spent many hours with family and friends, laughing, joking around, having yummy dinners, singing around the fireplace, playing the guitar or the piano or board games. It was about this cabin that he wrote a poem over 50 years ago. I made the poem into a plaque to remind others to enjoy special times with loved ones and friends in a happy spot often. The poem reads:
Where the curved road ends
There's a house where friends
May gather and talk and sing.
You may laugh and smile
As you linger awhile,
But your troubles you must not bring.
Within these old walls
You may answer the calls
Of the spirits demanding good cheer.
You are welcome my friend
Where the curved road ends
And have a good time while you're here.
