Wall hangings and table toppers

Gardens and bird sancutaries bring peace to the soul. My grandmother had a sign in her garden which read "A kiss of the sun for pardon. A song of the birds for mirth. One is closer to God in a garden, than anywhere else on earth."

This cross is so much fun to make. The colorful inside is melted glass which gives the effect of a stained glass window. I love to give this cross to newlyweds as they are starting out their faith journey together.

This is a favorite for a kitchen window.



This "coin vase" was made to try and replicate a beautiful piece given to me by a good friend. Though rather than using a coin, I used a horse button that I purchased many years ago.




Thrown and altered pitcher



These thrown and altered tumblers were made to match the pitcher.

This large vase was thrown and altered. The top and bottom sections were done on the wheel, while the decorative mid-section was done seperately by hand. All three pieces were then molded together.

double wall bowl - This bowl is fun to make, and ideal for holding jewelry, soap, or just to put out on display.




frog bowl - This bowl was inspired by the tree frog who lived in my sink at the pottery studio in my backyard.





duck bowl - The ducks I used here are just one of the many stamps used to decorate a thrown and altered pot. A thrown and altered pot is one that is done on the wheel and then altered through hand building to give it a unique style. If you would like to order one of these bowls, you may choose from flowers,leaves,ducks,birds,or decorative swirls.
